Rayshawn Simmons, Central Michigan
Sr., Guard, St. Louis, Mo. (Moberly Area C.C.)
Senior guard Rayshawn Simmons had his best game as a Chippewa in Central Michigan's season opener on Friday, scoring a career-high 30 points in leading his team to an 89-83 win over Jacksonville State. In 40 minutes of court time running the point, Simmons incurred just one turnover while notching four rebounds and three assists in addition to his offensive outpouring. Simmons shot 53% (8-of-15) from the field, including 50% from three-point range, and was 12-of-15 from the free throw line. Simmons far surpassed his previous career high of 20 points.
