Eastern Michigan Men's Cross Country Take 6th Consecutive Title

CANTON, Ohio - The Eastern Michigan Men captured their sixth consecutive Mid-American Conference Championship title on Saturday, the most in school history. The Eagles are now tied with Miami for most titles in MAC with 20.
 
EMU’s Nick Raymond secured the 2015 men’s individual title with a time of 24:10.28. Raymond’s teammate and last year’s individual champion, Willy Fink, earned the runner-up title with a time of 24:15.92. Miami’s Joe Stewart finished in the third spot for the second year with an 8k time of 24:21.15.
 
In total, EMU had five top-ten finishers leading them to finish with 26 points. Akron came in second with 70 points and Miami claimed third with 80. Central Michigan (100 points) and Ohio (128 points) respectively rounds out the top five. Buffalo (sixth, 150 points), Bowling Green (seventh, 189 points), Kent State (eighth, 202 points), and Toledo (ninth, 227 points) completes the final men’s standings.
 
Eastern Michigan’s John Goodridge was voted MAC Men’s Coach of the Year. This was the 10th time Coach Goodridge was selected by the league’s head coaches to receive this honor. He also holds the record in the conference as winningest head coach with 11 championships to his name.
 
The teams have about two weeks to prepare for the next race, the 2015 NCAA Regionals on November 13th.
