Kent State's Dri Archer Drafted By Pittsburgh In the Third Round
Kent State senior running back/wide receiver Dri Archer was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round, 97th overall, in the 2014 NFL Draft.  Archer becomes the third MAC player selected already in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Archer finished the 2013 season with 11 touchdowns and finished his career in second place among Kent State's career leaders in touchdowns (40), just one behind leader Josh Cribbs (41).  Archer finished third in career all-purpose yards with 4,980.  Archer also moved into a tie for ninth place with teammate Trayion Durham in career rushing touchdowns (24).  Archer ranks ninth in Kent State history in career rushing yards with 2,405 rushing yards.
