Bulls Close Out Weekend with 5-2 Win Over Ball State | Box Score
BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team (8-4, 2-0 MAC) defeated Ball State 5-2 on Sunday afternoon at Miller Tennis Center.

The Bulls took the doubles point as Theodoros Mitsakos and Clement Mainguy cruised to a 6-1 win at first doubles and Faiz Nasyam and Minjae Kim followed with a 6-2 victory at the third position to give UB a 1-0 lead in the match.

Mitsakos continued his strong play in singles action as he rolled to a 6-1, 6-2 win at first singles and Emiliano Jorquera won 6-2, 6-1 at fifth singles to put UB up 3-1, before Onder Balci clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-3 win at third singles. Kim rounded out the scoring for UB with a 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 win at fourth singles.

Buffalo will return to action on Saturday, March 14, against Toledo at 1 pm.


Western Michigan Splita Road Matches at Buffalo and Toledo | Box Score Match 2
BUFFALO, N.Y./TOLEDO, Ohio -- 
The Western Michigan men's tennis team split road matches to open Mid-American Conference play over the weekend, falling at Buffalo, 6-1, on Friday and winning, 5-2, at Toledo on Sunday.

Western Michigan (8-8, 1-1 MAC) responded to Friday's loss with the 5-2 win over the Rockets on Sunday. This time, the Broncos took the doubles point. Riedel and Evans picked up their second win of the weekend, this time defeating Alejandro Gonzalez and Joshua Mackey at No. 3, 6-3. Oscar Corwin and Alex Antonopoulos secured the point with a 6-4 win at No. 1 over Cole Cozens and Charlie Snow. 

UT tied it up in singles with a win at No. 3 by Lucas Britez, but the Broncos retook the lead after Adesoro took down Poonthong Komolpisut at No. 1, 6-3, 6-2. The Rockets bounced back to tie it up at 2-2 with a win by Hanamichi Carvajal over Riedel at No. 2, 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (10-8). Jack Davison pushed the lead back into WMU's favor with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 win at No. 6 over Pannawat Suttisomboon. The match-winning point came courtesy of Corwin at No. 4 with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 win over Cozens. The fifth and final point was secured by Chen-Hui Ho, with a 6-3, 7-6 (7-1) win at No. 5 over Olivero. 

The Broncos are back home hosting Northern Illinois on Thursday at 1 p.m. and then welcome UIC on Saturday at 1 p.m. Admission is free.
