MOUNT PLEASANT, MICH. -- Central Michigan will host the Mid-American Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships at Jack Skoog Track, on the campus of Central Michigan University, Friday-Saturday, Feb. 27-28. The meet will begin at 10 a.m. both days.
The Chippewas will welcome teams from the University of Akron (M/W), Ball State University (W), Bowling Green State University (W), the University at Buffalo (M/W), Central Michigan University (W), Kent State University (M/W), University of Massachusetts (M/W), Miami University (W), Northern Illinois University (W), Ohio University (W), University of Toledo (W), and Western Michigan University (W) to Mount Pleasant.
Last year, Akron returned to the top of the podium, capturing the 2025 MAC Men’s Indoor Track & Field Championship at Eastern Michigan’s Bowen Field House — the program’s first title since 2020 and ninth overall. The Zips showcased their depth throughout the meet, highlighted by Hunter Garretson’s fifth consecutive pole vault title and Owen Wendl’s victory in the shot put. On the track, Jimmy Harkelroad claimed the 400m crown and helped lead Akron to a win in the 4x400 relay to seal the team championship.
On the women’s side, Bowling Green made history by capturing the 2025 MAC Indoor Track & Field Championship — the Falcons’ first title since 1999 and just the second in program history. Bowling Green delivered a complete team performance, highlighted by Bianca Staples’ triple jump title and a strong showing across the meet that helped secure the team crown. BGSU head coach Lou Snelling was recognized as Coach of the Year following the Falcons’ historic championship run.
