Sixty-Three Former MAC Student-Athletes Make Initial NFL Rosters

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference is well represented across NFL rosters as clubs have ended the preseason and turn their attention to the regular season as 63 former MAC student-athletes earned a spot on team’s initial rosters.

The Buffalo Bills (Cam Lewis, Joe Andreessen, Ja’Marcus Ingram, Reggie Gilliam) and Kansas City Chiefs (Kareem Hunt, Mike Caliendo, Jaylon Moore, Carson Steele) lead the league with four MAC representatives each, while 17 other franchises have multiple players from MAC institutions.

The most represented school on the initial rosters is Western Michigan, who has 11 former student-athletes in the league. Central Michigan and Toledo have eight representatives each, while Buffalo (seven) is also well represented across the NFL.

The 2025 season will kick off on Thursday, Sept. 4 as Quinyon Mitchell and the Philadelphia Eagles host Marshawn Kneeland and the Dallas Cowboys inside Lincoln Financial Field on NBC at 8:20 p.m. ET.
