CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons were predicted to take home this year’s 2025 MAC Volleyball Regular Season title and the tournament crown, as predicted by the league’s 12 head coaches. Fourteen of the league’s top student-athletes were named to the 2025 Preseason All-MAC Team. Head Coaches were not allowed to vote for their team or student-athletes in the polls.

The Falcons collected 119 team points with 10 first-place votes and 10 nods to hoist the 2025 conference tournament trophy. Additionally, first-year Head Coach Alex DelPiombo saw 2024 MAC Player of the Year Lauryn Hovey, Amanda Otten, and Jessica Andrews earn a spot on the preseason All-MAC team.

Ball State was picked No. 2 in the poll with 102 team points and two first-place votes. The 2024 MAC Freshman of the Year Carson Tyler and Sophie Ledbetter represent the Cardinals on the preseason squad.

Central Michigan, entering the first year under Head Coach Arielle Wilson, was ranked No.3 with a total of 101 points and one nod to win the conference tournament in November. Additionally, the Chippewas saw three players earn preseason honors: Natalia Rejment, Grace Thomas, and Abby Olin.

The reigning 2024 MAC Tournament Champion Western Michigan Broncos (93 pts.) and Buffalo (77 pts.) rounded out the top five, with the Bulls receiving the final tournament champion vote.

The 2025 season will kick off on Friday, Aug. 29, while conference competition will begin on Thursday, Sept. 25, with a full six-game schedule.

The regular season will conclude on Saturday, Nov. 15, followed by the 2025 MAC Volleyball Tournament. The top six teams in the league will play on Nov. 21-23 at the Stroh Center in Bowling Green, Ohio. The postseason tournament, this year moving forward, will be hosted by the previous season’s regular-season champion.
