BUFFALO, NY - The 2025 Mid-American Conference Champion University at Buffalo men's tennis team will play Ohio State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday afternoon in Columbus, Ohio. The match is scheduled to start at 1 pm at the Auer Tennis Complex. The winner will advance to Sunday's Round of 32 against either Auburn or Belmont.
This is the second time the Bulls and Buckeyes are squaring off in the NCAA Tournament, with the last time coming in the 2015 NCAA Tournament first round.
Buffalo enters the national tournament with an impressive resume as UB is 18-5 on the season. The Bulls went 9-1 in the MAC regular season, winning the conference title, and then picked up two more wins in the conference tournament, claiming the tournament title as well. UB, owners of 125 singles victories on the year, has presented a balanced attack in with six players recording double-digit win totals on the season, led by junior

Michael Malkin (15) have also reached double digit wins. In doubles play, the Bulls have been led by Nasyam and
Emiliano Jorquera who are 8-1 as a duo and Mitsakos and Mainguy who have recorded 10 wins as a pairing.
Ohio State is 26-3 overall and the #5 seed in the NCAA Tournament. They recorded a perfect 13-0 mark in Big Ten play that earned the Buckeyes a 19
th consecutive Big Ten title. The Buckeyes are led by Aidan Kim who is ranked 11
th in the nation in singles by the ITA. He is joined in the single's national rankings by Alexander Bernard (61), Bryce Nakashima (97) and Jack Anthrop (120). In doubles play, the team of Nakashima and William Jansen are also ranked at No. 65. Kim, Anthrop and Bernard all earned All-Big Ten First Team honors while Ty Tucker was named Big Ten Coach of the Year.
Matches are set to be played outside at the Auer Tennis Complex. In the event of inclement weather, play will be moved inside the Ty Tucker Tennis Center. Admission and parking will be free for all NCAA matches in Columbus.
