Bowling Green Claims MAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship

ATHENS, Ohio -- Bowling Green captured its first MAC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship since 1981, finishing with 130 points in a tightly contested battle at Goldsberry Track. The Falcons edged out Eastern Michigan (115) and Kent State (113.5) in a thrilling final day of competition.

The Falcons were led by standout performances from Kylee Cubbison (1500m champion) and Sabrina Imes (triple jump), while Trista Fintel scored big points across the weekend, including wins in both the hammer throw and shot put.

Eastern Michigan's Saraiah Walkes earned Most Valuable Performer honors after she swept the 100m (11.55), 200m (23.19) titles and anchored the Eagles to a win in the 4x400m relay (3:39.66). Akron's Rukia Omulisia secured the 100-meter hurdles title with a time of 13.24 seconds. Omulisia was named the Freshman Track Performer of the Year following the meet. 

Western Michigan’s Mabinty Kebe made history with a MAC Championship record in the 400m hurdles (57.46), while Northern Illinois’ Kamiya Dendy captured the high jump title with a clearance of 1.79m.
