MAC Announces Week 13 Baseball Award Winners

MAC Baseball Player of the Week
Brady Krzciok, Central Michigan

Junior first baseman Brady Krzciok led Central Michigan to a 2-2 week which included a series win over Eastern MIchigan that moved CMU into a tie for sixth place in the conference. 

Krzciok had multiple hits in all four of the Chippewas' games on the week, opening with a double and a home run at Michigan and continuing with four doubles among seven hits against the Eagles. 

He also drew two walks on the week for a .579 on-base percentage, and scored seven runs. His RBI double put the Chippewas ahead for good in their 10-9 series-opening win over EMU, and he led off with a single and later scored a run to spark CMU's three-run eighth inning that gave it a 7-6 lead in the series finale with the Eagles.

MAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Hayden Cuthbertson, Miami
Junior, Ladner, BC (Delta Secondary School)

Hayden Cuthbertson pitched twice for the RedHawks this week, throwing three innings in relief against EKU on Tuesday and five innings in Sunday's start against Akron. Over eight total innings, Cuthberson surrendered no walks, no runs, and just two hits. He was credited with Sunday's 5-0 shutout win over the Zips, where he surrendered just two bases all game.
