Buffalo Men’s Tennis to Face Ohio State in NCAA Tournament First Round

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team will head to Ohio State for the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, it was announced on Monday during the men's tennis selection show. The Bulls and the Buckeyes will square off on Saturday, May 3 at 1pm.

Buffalo enters the national tournament with an impressive resume as UB is 18-5 on the season.  The Bulls went 9-1 in the MAC regular season, winning the conference title, and then picked up two more wins in the conference tournament, claiming the tournament title as well.

This will be the second time that UB has played Ohio State in the NCAA tournament. The Buckeyes enter the NCAA Tournament with a 26-3 record and a perfect 13-0 mark in Big Ten play. Ohio State lost in the finals of the Big Ten Tournament, 4-3, to #22 UCLA.

Also in the Columbus regional is Belmont and Auburn, who will play at 10am on Saturday.  The winners of the two matches will then meet with a trip to the Sweet 16 on the line.
