MAC Names Week 11 Baseball Weekly Award Winners

MAC Baseball Player of the Week
Dillon Baker, Miami

Dillon Baker went 12-for-19 at the plate this week (.632 average), which included a perfect 5-for-5 performance on Saturday in an 18-2 win over Ohio. Baker racked up five doubles, six RBIs, and nine runs throughout the week, striking out just twice over four games. He also hit two out of the park. Baker's offensive performance led Miami to defeat Bellarmine on Tuesday and take two of three from the Bobcats, marking Miami's eighth straight MAC series victory.

Eric Chalus, Kent State

Kent State senior left-hander Eric Chalus was stellar in a pair of wins out of the Flashes bullpen. On Wednesday in a run-rule win over Youngstown State Chalus pitched two shutout innings striking out three of the six batters he faced. Chalus emerged from the Kent State bullpen again on Sunday afternoon delivering five more shutout innings while striking out four as the Flashes secured a series victory over the rival Zips.

Overall, Chalus tossed seven scoreless innings with seven strikeouts while allowing just four hits and three walks to earn the win in both of his appearances.
