CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Robert Morris lacrosse team has been picked as the 2025 preseason favorite, as voted on by the league’s head coaches.
The Colonials earned four first-place votes and a total of 34 points while also receiving two votes to repeat as MAC Tournament Champions.
Central Michigan, the 2024 Regular Season Champions, was picked to finish second, garnering two first-place tallies and compiling 31 points. The Chippewas earned the most votes to capture the tournament crown with three.
Eastern Michigan was slotted third with 26 points, highlighted by one first-place vote. The Eagles also received two votes to claim the tournament championship.
With 18 points, Kent State was picked fourth while Detroit Mercy was just behind them in fifth with 16 points.
Akron and Youngstown State tied for sixth in the poll with 11 points each.
