BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Ohio wrestling team (8-4, 6-2 Mid-American Conference) hit the road on Sunday afternoon (Feb 23) for their final dual of the regular season against Buffalo (4-13, 2-5 MAC) in Buffalo, NY. The Bobcats emerged victorious, defeating the Bulls 20-13.
Redshirt senior
TJ England, kicked off the scoring for Ohio against Buffalo with an 11-5 decision over Troy Guerra in the 133-pound class. Building on England's success, redshirt freshman
Kaden Jett, extended the Bobcats' lead with a solid 6-1 decision victory against Cole French in the 141-pound class.
After Buffalo captured victories in the next two weight classes, Ohio rebounded decisively to remain competitive in the dual. Redshirt sophomore
Jack Lledo, secured an 8-2 decision over Charlie Foster in the 165-pound class. Following Lledo's performance, redshirt junior
Bobby Gaylord, faced Rafael Knapp in a tense matchup, emerging victorious with a 9-4 decision in the 174-pound class.

Austin Starr, and 28th-ranked redshirt senior
Jordan Greer , sealed the victory for Ohio in their final regular-season dual. Starr delivered an impressive performance, dominating Connor Scuilla for an 8-0 major decision shutout in the 197-pound weight class. Greer matched that intensity, securing an 11-0 major decision shutout against Robbie Unruh in the heavyweight class. With these pivotal wins, the Bobcats finished the dual with a 20-13 triumph over Buffalo, wrapping up a successful regular season.
Ohio will return to the mat on March 7-8 for the Mid-American Conference Championship in Lawrence Township, N.J. The competition is scheduled to start off at 12 p.m.
George Mason vs. Patriot Last Chance Meet
Fairfax, Va. -- Several George Mason wrestlers participated in A Better Ways Athletics Patriot Open tournament today held at the field house today.
The round-robin style event was hosted by the Patriot Elite Wrestling Club. The competition hosted wrestlers from the 22 schools.
