BUFFALO, NY 
– The University at Buffalo women's tennis team (11-0) swept St. Bonaventure at Miller Tennis Center on Friday afternoon.

The Bulls earned the first point of the match as Liv Roestel and Blanca Berges cruised to a 6-1 win at third doubles and Esmee Andresen and Maria Glowacka followed with a 6-2 victory at the third position.

UB then swept all six singles matches in straight sets as Andresen won 6-3, 6-3 at first singles, Glowacka won 6-4, 6-4 at second and Jagmeet Kaur picked up a 6-2, 6-4 win at third singles. Sophomore Julia Laspro earned a 6-0, 6-4 decision at fourth singles, Berges rolled 6-0, 6-0 at fifth and Roestel won 6-0, 6-3 at the sixth position.

Up next, Buffalo will take a trip out west as they travel to Tuscon for a pair of matches against Colorado State and Arizona, February 21-22.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University tennis team returned to the win column thanks to the gritty play of freshman Viki Hazmukova, who had a hand in clinching both the doubles and team points in a 4-3 win over Cleveland State University, Feb. 14, inside the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion in Cleveland, Ohio. With the win, the Eagles (3-4) snapped a four-match losing skid overall while the Vikings fell to 3-5 on the year.
  
The Eagles captured the doubles point for the fifth time in seven duals this season with Lara Diaz Zayas and Prerna Vichare  winning, 6-4, at No. 2 before Sabina Brichackova and Hazmukova won, 6-2, at No. 3 to clinch the point. The win by Brichackova and Hazmukova marked the first time this season the No. 3 doubles team has clinched the point for the Eagles while Hazmukova has been part of all five clinching points in 2025.
 
With a 1-0 lead, the teams headed into singles where Marta Komar won at No. 3 via retirement and Vichare made it 3-0 for the visitors with her 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4. The Vikings scored their first point with a three-set win at No. 6 before Hazmukova won at No. 2, 6-1, 0-6, 7-5, to clinch the dual for the Eagles for the second time this season. The Vikings won the final two matches at No. 1 and No. 5 for the 4-3 final score.
 
Up Next
The Eagles return to action at home Sunday, Feb. 16, when they play host to the Bulldogs of Butler University. The dual will start at 2 p.m. inside the Chippewa Club in Ypsilanti.
