Ball State Selected as Favorites in Head Coaches Preseason Baseball Poll

CLEVELAND, Ohio– The Ball State Cardinals have been selected as favorites to win both the regular season crown and Mid-American Conference (MAC) Baseball Tournament in the 2025 Head Coaches Preseason Poll. Head Coaches were not allowed to vote for themselves in the poll.

The Cardinals received six first-place votes as well as five votes to win the conference tournament, which returns to Avon, Ohio at Crushers Stadium on May 21-25 with the top six teams making the championship for the second-straight year.

Kent State was picked to finish second with 84 points and received two first-place votes as well as two votes to claim the tournament title. Miami also garnered a pair of first-place votes, finishing third with 82 points. 

Bowling Green, last year’s regular season champion, was ranked fourth with 74 points and one first-place vote. The Falcons also notched a pair of votes to be crowned tournament champions.
