Ball State, Western Michigan Earn First Men's Tennis Athletes of the Week Honors

Singles Player of the Week
Nathaniel Webster, Senior, Ball State

Nathaniel Webster opened the weekend with a singles victory on the top court Saturday at Big Ten foe Indiana University for the Cardinals. Webster earned Ball State its first point of the match after defeating the Hoosiers' No. 1 singles player Jip van Assendelft by a score of 6-3, 7-5. Webster’s win helped his teammates take two more courts from IU as the Cardinals nearly completed a comeback to pull off the victory over the Hoosiers.

In Sunday's match at No. 23 Michigan State, they earned a win over Matthew Forbes and Tayrn Alazmeh, 6-2.
