CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference is well represented across NFL rosters as clubs have ended the preseason and turn their attention to the regular season as 60 former MAC student-athletes earned a spot on team’s initial rosters.
For the second straight year, the Buffalo Bills lead the league with six MAC representatives (Joe Andreessen, Reggie Gilliam, Ja’Marcus Ingram, Cam Lewis, Quintin Morris and Tommy Doyle), while 18 other franchises have multiple players from MAC institutions.
The most represented school on the initial rosters is Toledo, who has 12 former student-athletes in the league. Western Michigan is right behind the Rockets with 11 representatives, while Buffalo and Central Michigan (eight) are also well represented across the NFL.
The 2024 season will kick off on Thursday, Sept. 5 as Nic Jones, Mike Caliendo, Skyy Moore, Carson Steele and the Kansas City Chiefs host the Baltimore Ravens inside Arrowhead Stadium on NBC at 8:20 p.m. ET.
