Offensive Player of the Week
Taylor Hamlett, Miami, Forward

Hamlett has started the season firing. In the opening game of the season, she recorded two goals and two assists in a 4-0 win versus EKU. She had seven shots, three of which were on target, and played 65 minutes. On Sunday, Hamlett scored another brace in a 2-2 draw against Tennessee Tech. She recorded two shots, both on target, and played 62 minutes.
She has contributed to every goal Miami has scored to start the season and currently leads the MAC in goals (4) and points (10) and joint leads in assists (2).
Defensive Player of the Week
Ava Wilberding, Western Michigan, Goalkeeper
Junior, Grand Rapids, Mich. (Forest Hills Central)
Junior Ava Wilberding had a tremendous outing in the Western Michigan season opener against Northern Kentucky on Aug. 15, stopping all six shots she saw to post her first career shutout in the Brown and Gold. The Broncos won, 3-0.
Wilberding was one of four goalkeepers to post a full 90-minute shutout during the opening week of play. Among those keepers, Wilberding made the most saves in her clean sheet. Through the first week, the Grand Rapids, Mich. native leads the league in shutouts, goals against average and save percentage. She is second in the conference in total saves.
