CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference had five men's tennis teams and 29 student-athletes earn academic honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) in the announcement of the 2024 Division I Men’s ITA Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams.
To be named an ITA Scholar Athlete, a student-athlete must have a GPA of at least 3.50 for the current academic year. To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, the team GPA must be a 3.20 or higher for the current academic year.
The Cardinals have earned the team acadmeic honor for the 12th straight year, and the Flames have earned the team honor in four of the last six years. Western Michigan led the conference with nine members from its 2023-24 roster earn the academic honor, followed by seven from Ball State, and five from both Buffalo and UIC.
