Eastern Michigan sophomore Josephine Oloye started her 2024-25 campaign strong with a first-place outing in the 400-meter dash at the GVSU Holiday Open, hosted by Grand Valley State University, at the Kelly Family Sports Center, Dec. 6. Oloye crossed the finish line in 54.68, a time that ranks as the best in the MAC thus far, third in the NCAA, stands ninth in EMU program history, and marks a personal-best for the sophomore.

Akuot Kuany, freshman, won her first collegiate high jump competition. She is tied for #1 in the MAC, she is #1 in the Northeast Region, and Tied for #10 in the NCAA

Akron senior Joy Nwokike took the women's 200 meters at the Haynes-Lancaster Open with the No. 6 time in the NCAA this season and the fifth-fastest time in indoor program in a time of 24:09. She also won the women's 400 meters in a career-best time of 54.97, the third-fastest time in indoor program history and ninth-best effort in the NCAA this season. Additionally, she ran on the winning 4x400 relay team that posted the second-fastest time in the league this season.

Central Michigan's Emily Paupore had a breakthrough opening race at Boston University's Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener on Saturday, running the 5000m in 16:00.20 for a 48th place finish. The time, a personal best for her and a record for CMU, is currently the fastest league time for the 2024-25 indoor season and 33rd in the NCAA.

In the 400 meters at Notre Dame's Blue-Gold Invite, Roshell Rowe led a Huskie one-two as she ran an indoor personal-best time of 56.88 seconds. Emma Curry was second for the Huskies with a time of 57.09.

Akron redshirt senior Brook Boes captured the women's weight throw at the Haynes-Lancaster Open with the No. 10 mark in the NCAA this season and the fifth-best performance in indoor program history of 64-6.75 (19.68m). Her effort also leads the MAC. Additionally, she won the women's shot put with a season-best mark of 44-5.25 (13.54m), the No. 61 effort in the NCAA.

Central Michigan freshman Amyah Chosa made her mark in the open shot put at the GVSU Holiday Open on Friday, opening her collegiate throwing career strong. She won the event with a mark of 12.81m, which ranks her seventh in the league for the 2024-25 indoor season in shot put. Currently, Chosa is the only freshman within the top 10 for furthest season marks in the MAC.

Her 11.68-meter (38-04.00) triple jump bound stands as the third-best in the MAC, while her 5.24-meter long jump (17-02.25) ranks as the conference's 10th-best mark.
