TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — Quarterback Parker Navarro had 104 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 18 carries, Anthony Tyus ran 33 times for 110 yards and a score and Ohio beat Toledo 24-7 Wednesday night.
Ohio (8-3, 6-1 Mid-American Conference) has won four straight since a 30-20 loss to Miami (OH) on Oct. 19. The Bobcats can clinch a berth in the conference championship game on Dec. 7 with a win over Ball State in their regular season finale on Nov. 29.
Adonis Williams Jr. recovered a fumble near midfield to set up a 12-play, 53-yard drive that culminated with a 2-yard scoring run by Navarro that gave Ohio a 14-7 lead with 14:19 remaining.
Toledo (7-4, 4-3) went three-and-out and Tyus capped an eight-play, 60-yard drive with a 1-yard TD run before Gianni Spetic kicked a 23-yard field goal to make it 24-7 with 3:31 remaining.
Maxen Hook intercepted Navarro and stumbled out of the end zone to the 5. On the next play from scrimmage, Tucker Gleason threw a deep pass to Eric Holley, but DJ Walker forced a fumble that was recovered by Roman Palodie at the Toledo 45. After Tyus ripped off a 34-yard run, Navarro’s 1-yard touchdown run made it 7-7 with 6:20 left in the third quarter.
The Rockets had six second-half possessions that went: three-and-out, fumble, fumble, three-and-out, turnover-on-downs and fumble.
Ohio scored after Bryson Hammer returned a punt 19 yards to midfield, Tucker Gleason scrambled for a 10-yard gain on a third-and-4 and four plays later threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Torres to give Toledo a 7-0 lead with 10:12 left in the second quarter.

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) — C.J. Ogbonna threw for 260 yards and three touchdowns, JJ Jenkins had a 90-yard touchdown reception and Buffalo beat Eastern Michigan 37-20 on Wednesday night in what proved to be a big-play contest.
The Eagles drew within 23-20 with 8:54 remaining when Cole Snyder threw a 78-yard touchdown to Markus Allen as part of a two-play, 90-yard drive that lasted 33 seconds.
After the ensuing kickoff for a touchback, on the first play of the drive, Ogbonna threw a 75-yard touchdown pass to Al-Jay Henderson to extend the lead to 30-20.
Each team turned it over on downs on their next possessions before Buffalo’s Shaun Dolac intercepted Jeremiah Salem and raced 60 yards to the end zone to push the lead to 37-20 with 2:59 left. It was his second interception of the game. Dolac, a linebacker, recorded nine tackles and now leads the nation this season with 146.
Buffalo (7-4, 5-2 Mid-American) built an early 17-0 lead when Ogbonna threw the long score to Jenkins and the two-point conversion made it 8-0 with 8:47 left in the first. Dion Crawford sacked Snyder in the end zone for a safety for a 10-point advantage and Ogbonna threw a 7-yard touchdown to Viktor Snow with 2:08 before intermission.
Snyder threw for 351 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions for the Eagles (5-6, 2-5). Allen finished with 187 receiving yards on nine receptions and Terry Lockett Jr. had touchdown receptions of 38 and 13 yards, both in the third quarter. He had 122 receiving yards on eight receptions.
