Jalen Terry (Flint, Mich./Beecher/Oregon/DePaul) recorded 28 points, nine rebounds, and three steals to lead the Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team over IU Indianapolis, 74-71, Thursday, Nov. 14, in non-conference action at The Jungle.

Terry drilled six three-pointers as the Eagles recovered from an early 15-7 deficit.

A highlight-reel dunk by Da'Sean Nelson (Toledo, Ohio/Robert S. Rogers/Kilgore College/DePaul) highlighted the Eagles' offensive efforts in the early-going before Eastern trailed 15-7.

The Eagles outscored the Jaguars 38-20 in the next 11 minutes to lead 45-35 late in the first half before settling for a 45-39 halftime lead.

EMU scored the second half's first seven points as Terry later drilled a three-pointer to extend Eastern's lead to game-high 13 points at 60-47 with 13 minutes remaining.

The Jaguars battled back to within three points with four minutes to play but drew no closer.

Eastern Michigan was 26-of-60 (43.3%) from the floor and 10-of-24 (41.7%) from three-point range while IU Indy was 16-of-60 (26.7%) from the field and 8-of-33 (24.2%) from deep.

Terry matched his career high with 28 points, a mark he previously reached with DePaul against Seton Hall, Jan. 13, 2022.

Terry's six three-pointers are the most by an Eagle since Arne Osojnik (Ljubljana, Slovenia/Dream City Christian) made six against Western Michigan, Feb. 27, 2024.

Terry also made six three-pointers with DePaul against Marquette, Jan. 24, 2024.

Terry added nine rebounds for the second-straight game and is now averaging 8.3 rebounds per game through three games.

Terry's three steals equal his career high, which he achieved twice with DePaul, most recently Feb. 24, 2024.

Osojnik scored his first points of the season, totaling 13 for the game, which included seven in the game's first 11:02, helping the Eagles erase the early deficit.

Eastern Michigan will travel to Cleveland State University for a 3 p.m. game Saturday, Nov. 16.
