Chippewas Sweep Volleyball Player of the Week Honors

Offensive Player of the Week
Grace Thomas, Middle Blocker, Central Michigan 
Grace Thomas was an absolute powerhouse for Central Michigan in the wins over WMU and NIU in McGuirk Arena. In the victory over WMU, the freshman killed 16 balls hitting .667. Thomas surpassed her previous career high of nine with 16 kills. She tallied a cumulative .595 hitting percentage over the six straight-set victories for CMU with 22 total kills (3.67/set). Thomas found success as well blocking four balls in the wins for CMU.

Defensive Player of the Week
Hannah Langton, Libero, Central Michigan
Freshman libero Hannah Langton continued to be a sense of calm for the Chippewa defense as they completed the complete sweep over Western Michigan and Northern Illinois. In the two victories, Langton tallied 28 digs, 4.67/set. Central Michigan hit .347 over the two sets, much to the aid of their first ball contact and the benefit of Langton in the backcourt for CMU. 

Setter of the Week
Allie Korba, Central Michigan
Allie Korba was an absolute workhorse for the Chippewas in their complete sweep over both the Western Michigan Broncos and Northern Illinois Huskies. Korba tallied 76 assists in the six sets (12.67/set) as the Chippewas hit an outstanding .347 over the two matches. In the second match, against NIU, the Chippewas charted a .424 hitting percentage as a team.
