Other Nominees

Dyon Dromers scored the game-winning goal in WVU's 2-0 win at Robert Morris on Aug. 26. Dromers' header goal came just 93 seconds into the contest off a corner kick -- good for WVU's first shot attempt of the season. Dromers led the Mountaineers with three shots in the win. The game-winner was the first of his career.

Jacob Green-Pedersen, Georgia Southern
Defender, Freshman, Aarhus, Denmark

Jacob Green-Pedersen made an immediate impact for the Eagles in his first two matches. George Proctor, Georgia State
Defender, Senior, Leeds, England

Senior defender George Proctor scored the lone goal in Georgia State's 1-0 win over Mercer on Sunday night. Proctor's PK goal in the 75th minute proved to be the difference in the game. Proctor scored a goal in the third-straight regular season he played. The senior missed the regular-season opener last Thursday after picking up a red card in the Sun Belt Conference tournament championship game last season.

Enrique Banuelos, NIU
Forward, Senior, Mexico City, Mexico

NIU’s Enrique Banuelos came off the bench to score the game-winning goal, direct from a free kick, to give the Huskies a 1-0 victory over Purdue Fort Wayne in the season opener. The Mexico City native played 47 minutes in a substitute’s role, recording three shots with two on target. With the contest still scoreless in the 72nd minute, NIU won a free kick 20 yards from goal and Banuelos stepped up and powered the free kick past the Purdue Fort Wayne goalkeeper to break the deadlock and give the Huskies a 1-0 win.
