Week’s Achievements (detailed description of week’s events):
Central Michigan junior right-hander Jordan Patty notched a rarity last week, becoming the first pitcher in the long and storied history of Central Michigan baseball to record a perfect game as he set down all 21 hitters – 11 of them by strikeout -- he faced in the Chippewas’ 14-0 seven-inning victory over Miami (Ohio). It is believed to be the first perfect game by a MAC pitcher since 1997 and it was the first no-hitter by a CMU pitcher since 2003. Patty extended his scoreless inning streak to 38 2/3 and improved to 6-1 with a 1.73 earned run average. He ranks second in the conference in wins, ERA and innings pitched (62 1/3).

Week’s Achievements (detailed description of week’s events):
Central Michigan senior Natalie Karlen entered the home stretch of a remarkable career, scoring 14 goals and adding four assists for 18 points in leading the Chippewas to a pair of decisive victories and in the process becoming the Chippewas’ all-time leading goal scorer, one of several program milestones she reached during the week. She had eight goals and three assists for 11 points in a 19-9 victory over Kent State, and then had six goals and totaled seven points in an 18-6 win over Akron. Karlen’s second goal in the Akron game gave her 164 for her career as she moved past Jocelyne Lemay, who had 163 goals from 2015-19, to the top of the list. Also during the week, Karlen set CMU records for goals in a season, points in a season and shots in a season.
