Chris Meyers hit .500 last week across six games for the Rockets (10-for-20), hitting two home runs and tallying nine RBIs. He had a hit in every game last week and drove in at least one run in all four games against arch-rival Bowling Green. His home run in game two of Saturday’s doubleheader against Bowling Green was his 15
th of the season, tying the Toledo single-season home run record. Meyers is one of the top sluggers in the entire country. He is sixth in the nation in slugging percentage (.772) and he is tied for 14
th with 15 homers. He leads the MAC in both of those categories as well as batting average (.383), on-base percentage (.505), hits (62), RBIs (51), and doubles (16).

Katie Keller paced the NIU softball team from the plate in six starts last week and set a school record in the process. The Huskie junior hit .563 with an .813 slugging percentage. Keller tallied a team-best nine hits on the week, including four doubles. She set the single-season mark at NIU for doubles at 23, setting the record with a pair of doubles as part of a 3-for-3 performance in the series opener with Miami, breaking the mark she set two years ago. She went 3-for-3, including a double, with two RBIs and a run scored in game three with the RedHawks. In addition to her nine hits, Keller coaxed three walks and was a perfect 2-for-2 on stolen bases.
