MAC Announces Staff Additions

Cleveland, Ohio – Mid-American Conference Commissioner Dr. Jon Steinbrecher has announced the following staff additions beginning June 1, 2021:
 
Mike Vuraich has been named Associate Commissioner // CFO and will replace Elizabeth Sislak, who will be retiring after 20 years with the MAC. In addition, Annette Sudberry has been named Executive Assistant to the Commissioner and will replace Julie Kachner, who will be retiring after 12 years with the Conference office.

Vuraich joins the MAC after spending over eight years with BDO USA, LLP (BDO). During his time at BDO, Vuraich has risen to the position of Senior Manager within the firm’s Assurance Services department. The Wickliffe, Ohio native is also a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Ohio and is a 2012 graduate of Ohio University.

Sudberry brings over 15 years of experience to the Conference office and started her career working for National City Bank. While there, she was responsible for the coordination of all appointments, events, travel and speaking engagements. The Euclid, Ohio native has also worked in the same capacity for TOA Technologies, Rockwell Automation, Ferro Corporation and most recently PCC Airfoils, where she provided full-range administrative support to the GM and direct report managers.

The Mid-American Conference office is based in Cleveland, Ohio as the Conference office serves 12 full-time members and offer championships in 24 sports.
 
Founded in 1946, the Mid-American Conference is an NCAA Division I, 12-member conference that sponsors 23 championships and is one of ten members of the Football Bowl Subdivison (FBS). With total enrollment of nearly 300,000 students, the league represents institutions of higher learning in five (5) states - Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New York, and Ohio.
