SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.- Buoyed by Chloe Salort's 1-over-73, the No. 16 Kent State women's golf team posted a 22-over 310 in Saturday's second round of the NCAA Women's Golf Championships. The Flashes are tied for 17th place through 36 holes after battling windy conditions all afternoon at Grayhawk Golf Club.
Salort led the Flashes with her 73 score after going 15 holes for par or better and turned in three red numbers. Salort is tied for 40th at 148 (+4).
Emily Price is tied for 61st at 150 (+6) through 36 holes after carding a 78 (+6). Kory Nielsen shot a 79 (+7) in the second round and is tied for 81st with a 152 (+8).
Caley McGinty fired an 81 (+9) for the second round and sits tied for 91st with a 153 (+9) score. Rounding out the Flashes lineup is Valentina Albertazzi who is tied for 111 th with a 156 (+12) score after she posted an 80 (+8) score.
Kent State will be paired with Baylor and Georgia on Sunday. The Flashes, Bulldogs, and Bears will tee off from the No. 10 at 2:30 p.m. ET. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.
