OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University field hockey team (13-1, 10-0 MAC) will travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. for the opening round of the NCAA Tournament to face Stanford on Friday, April 30. The game time will be determined at a later date.

This is the RedHawks' fourth-consecutive and sixth overall NCAA Tournament appearance under head coach Iñako Puzo. In 2018, Miami won the second NCAA Tournament game in program history and earned the program's first NCAA Tournament shutout, defeating No. 24 Boston University by a 2-0 margin.

Miami received an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament after winning the MAC regular-season title, which it clinched on April 17. The RedHawks scored seven goals to shutout Appalachian State to cinch the title on home turf.

The winner of the first-round game will face top-seed North Carolina in the second round.
