Bowling Green: For the fifth consecutive season the Falcons will compete in the MAC Tournament and will be hosting the tournament for the second consecutive year. Bowling Green will enter as the top seed following a 20-1 campaign that included an 18-match win streak that set multiple records for both the program and the athletic department as a whole. Now, the Falcons will turn their attention to the Tournament, looking to win their first MAC Tournament Championship and get an NCAA bid for the first time since 2012. The Falcons will take on the Miami RedHawks in the Semifinals of the MAC Tournament. The two teams last met on Feb. 4 and 5 where the Falcons captured a sweep. The first match ended in a 3-0 win for the Falcons while the Orange and Brown battled back from a 2-0 deficit in the second to win 3-2 in five-sets.For the first time since the 2008 season the Falcons have tallied consecutive 20-win seasons. Bowling Green concluded the 2019 season with a 20-13 record and now has a 20-1 standing this year. The last time the team was able to do so came in a streak of three consecutive 20-win seasons, spanning from 2006-2008. In 2006 the Falcons went 26-6 before being 21-10 in 2007 and then 25-9 in 2008.
Miami: Winning its last five matches of the regular season to earn a spot in the four-team Mid-American Conference Tournament, Miami makes its fifth-straight appearance in the MAC semifinals and sixth in the last seven years. The No. 4 seed RedHawks take on the No. 1 seed Bowling Green Falcons at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 2 in Bowling Green, Ohio. Senior outside hitter Sarah Wojick was named to the All-MAC Second Team. Wojick paces the team at 2.89 kills per set with a .293 hitting percentage and owns a team-leading 271.5 points on the season. For the first times this season, Miami had players reach or eclipse 20 kills in a match. On Friday, March 26 at Central Michigan, senior Sarah Wojick amassed a career-high 22 kills, while senior Avarie Powell recorded a career-high 20 kills. The following night, junior Gaby Harper hammered out a career-high 23 kills against the Chippewas. Harper's 23 kills are the most by a RedHawk in any match this season.
No. 2 Western Michigan (17-4) vs. No. 3 Ohio (12-7)

Western Michigan: Western Michigan enters the MAC Tournament as the No.2 seed with an overall and MAC record of 17-4. This will be the third meeting this season between WMU and Ohio and the first meeting in the conference tournament since 2014. Senior outside hitter Rachel Bontrager became the ninth player in school history and first since Zakiya Pope back in 2000 to earn MAC Player of the Year honors. Bontrager was also named First Team All-MAC for the third year in a row after leading the conference and ranking sixth in the NCAA with 344 kills. Bontrager's 4.59 kills per set ranks first in the MAC and 12th in the nation. Freshman Logan Case earned MAC co-Setter of the Year honors, marking the fifth Bronco in program history to do so and the first since Terin Norris back in 2012. Case was also named MAC Freshman of the Year, the 10th Bronco to earn the award and first since 2015. Case ended the regular season leading the MAC and the NCAA with 12.16 assists per set.
Ohio: Ohio is seeking its 10th conference tournament championship in program history and first since 2015. The Bobcats and the Broncos split the regular season series in a pair of meetings at the Convocation Center last month. Ohio prevailed, 3-1, in the opener March 19, but Western Michigan bounced back with a 3-2 victory the following day. The two programs last faced off in the MAC tournament in 2014, with Western Michigan rallying from a 2-0 deficit to record a 3-2 win in the semis. Ohio's roster boasts four 2020-21 All-MAC selections. Senior middle blocker Tia Jimerson (Sugar Hill, Ga.) was named to the All-MAC First Team while senior setter Vera Giacomazzi (San Vendemiano, Italy) was named to the All-MAC Second Team. Middle blocker Caitlin O'Farrell (Suwanee, Ga.) and defensive specialist/libero Sam Steele (Omaha, Neb.) both earned spots on the All-Freshman Team.
