Trace Hatfield, Toledo, SS

Trace Hatfield fueled a Toledo offensive attack that led to a series sweep over Akron this past weekend. Hatfield hit .600, slugged 1.067, and hit two home runs while tallying eight RBI in the Rockets' weekend series against the Zips. He drove in two runs in the series opener on Friday to help Toledo start the weekend off with a win, then exploded in Saturday's doubleheader. Hatfield was a combined 7-for-8 with two home runs, five RBI, and five runs scored in the two games on Saturday. He ended the weekend by reaching base three times in Sunday's run-rule victory. At one point during the series, Hatfield had reached base safely in seven straight at-bats.
 
Zach Heeke, Central Michigan, INF

Central Michigan senior infielder Zach Heeke turned in an impressive week at the plate as the Chippewas took 3-of-4 games at home over Kent State. The Mount Pleasant, Mich., native racked up a team-best nine hits with a scorching .692 batting average and finished with 12 total bases over the four-game stretch. In Friday's 10-0 win over the Golden Flashes, Heeke finished 2-for-3 with a pair of singles. In Saturday's doubleheader sweep, he combined for four hits and launched a towering home run to deep center field. On the season Heeke No.2 on the team with a .333 batting average. 
 
MAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Jordan Patty, Central Michigan, RHP

Central Michigan junior right-hander Jordan Patty continued his dominant stretch on the mound this past week as the Chippewas took 3-of-4 games at home over Kent State. The Midland, Mich., native tossed another complete-game shutout working seven frames in the Chippewas' 10-0 victory in game one. He allowed just six hits while striking out a career-high 11 batters in earning his fourth win of the season. Patty also extended his scoreless innings streak to 25 2/3. On the season, Patty ranks No.2 on the team and No.4 in the MAC with a 2.19 ERA.
