Women’s Golfer of the Week
Caley McGinty, Kent State

Sophomore Caley McGinty led the Flashes over the weekend at the Valspar Invitational. McGinty finished tied for 11th at 212 (-4) after posting rounds of 71-71-70. In the final round, she went 16 holes for par or less and fired four birdies. She led the team with 10 total birdies in the tournament and led the tournament on par-3 holes at (-3). She also led the team on par-5 holes at (-4).

The Akron Zips women's golf team was back on the course on Monday and Tuesday, March 15-16, at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club's South Course as freshman Jennifer David (Hudson, Ohio) led the Zips with a 229 (+16) showing. David carded rounds of 75 (+4), 78 (+7) and 76 (+5) at the par-71 course that stretched 6,056 yards. During the 54-hole event, she registered 31 par scores and five birdies en route to a 45th overall finish.
Hadley Moritz, Ball State
Junior, Wheaton, Ill. (Wheaton Warrenville South)
Hadley Moritz was the top finisher for a Ball State team that set school records for team 54-hole score (882) and 18-hole score (286) at the Spring Break Shootout. The Cardinals beat the 54-hole record by six shots and the 18-hole record (in round two) by three. Moritz tied for 18th with a total of 220, including an even-par round of 71 on the final day. She led the Cardinals to sixth place in a 15-team field and convincing head-to-head wins over the other four MAC teams in the field.
Angel Hii, Toledo
Freshman, Kuching Malaysia
Freshman Angel Hii posted another Top 15 finish to lead the Rockets for a second consecutive tournament. She tied for 10th place with a four-over par 217 (69-71-77) at the Spring Break Shootout. Hii opened the tournament with a career-best two-under par 69 during which she tallied three birdies and one bogey. She followed that with four more birdies en route to an even-par 71 in her second round.
