Eastern Michigan University redshirt junior Zack Mason (Toronto, Ontario, Canada-Blyth Academy Lawrence Park) collected his third career top-10 showing Tuesday, March 16, as he finished in third-place at the GCU Invitational. The Toronto, Ontario native posted rounds of 71, 70, and 70 for his best-ever finish with a 54-hole total of 211 on the par 71, 7,207-yard GCU Golf Course. Despite being just one shot off the lead after the opening round, Eastern was unable to keep pace with a late-charge by Wichita State and Southern Mississippi. WSU claimed the top-spot with a 862 (280-292-290), while USM improved six positions to take second with a 864 (291-286-287). EMU finished fourth with a 867 (281-288-298), one shot shy of host Grand Canyon (280-288-298=866).
