Bowling Green’s Chris Sullivan scored a ‘Golden Goal’ in BGSU’s lone match of the week. Sullivan headed home a cross in the 95th minute to give the Falcons a 1-0 win over nationally-ranked and previously unbeaten SIUE. He had five shots in the match, as BGSU outshot the Cougars, 19-1. Sullivan now has a team-high eight points through six matches this season, including two goals (tied for the team lead) and four assists (most on the team). He now has career totals of 13 goals, 17 assists and 43 points, leading active Falcons in all three categories. Sullivan has been directly involved in the scoring of all six BGSU goals on the season.
Nick Markanich, NIU

Nick Markanich scored the game-winning goal as NIU upended 15th-ranked Akron, 3-0, in the only game of the week for the Huskies. Markanich tallied in the 62nd minute, his fourth goal of the season, to give the Huskies a lead as they never looked back. The victory is just NIU's second against Akron since 2006 and is the first for the Huskies against a ranked opponent since beating 10th-ranked Omaha, 1-0, on September 15, 2017. Markanich played 70 minutes in the contest, recording three shots, two on target.

Walker played the first half in WMU's 2-1 overtime win at Spring Arbor on Wednesday. He made one save in 45 minutes of shutout action before a planned substitution at half time. In Sunday's home-opener against West Virginia, he made four saves to earn his second shutout of the season. Walker made three of his four saves in the final 10 minutes of the game to keep the Mountaineers off the board and give the Broncos their first MAC win of the season.
