The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team, coming off of the program's first win in a Mid-American Conference Tournament game in eight years, now looks to make it two such wins in three days. Head coach Robyn Fralick and the Falcons, the tourney's top seed, will meet fourth-seeded Buffalo in Friday's (March 12) semifinal round, with tipoff at 10:00 a.m. at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. BGSU has won 11 of the last 13 games, with the only two losses in that time by one point each. One of those setbacks, however, came at the hands of UB. The Falcons rallied back from a 20-point deficit, but Buffalo escaped the Stroh Center with a 69-68 win in overtime on Saturday (March 6).
The University at Buffalo women's basketball team will face top-seeded Bowling Green in the MAC Tournament semifinals on Friday. This is the second meeting between the two teams in the last week. This is the 46th meeting between Buffalo and Bowling Green, with the Falcons owning the 26-19 series edge. The Bulls have won 11 of the last 13 meetings with the Falcons, most recently a 69-68 victory in overtime on Saturday at the Stroh Center to close the regular season. UB has now won 10 or more MAC games in four of the last five seasons. The winner of Friday's night's game will face the winner of #2 Central Michigan and #3 Ohio in the finals on Friday.

Central Michigan women's basketball team downed Northern Illinois, 83-69, in a Mid-American Conference Tournament quarterfinal game last time out. It was the third-straight victory for the Chippewas (16-8) with Molly Davis scoring 24 points and Micaela Kelly having 23 respectively. The Chippewas defeated the Huskies, 74-68, on Saturday in the regular-season finale, overcoming a 19-point deficit. CMU lost at NIU, 104-73, on Jan. 13. It was one of the worst losses in recent memory for the Chippewas, who went 8-5 after that loss. All five of those losses were by single digits.
The No. 3 Ohio women's basketball team (14-7) rallied from a seven-point deficit to take down No. 6 Ball State (14-11), 61-59, on Wednesday evening at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in the Mid-American Conference Tournament quarterfinals. Senior guard Cece Hooks (Dayton, Ohio) had her third-straight game with a double-double after posting 21 points and 11 rebounds. Hooks hit three three-pointers and added two assists and four steals. Redshirt junior Erica Johnson (Mansfield, Ohio) went 7-of-10 in the second half after going 0-for-6 in the first half and finished with 19 points. Johnson was 5-of-11 from deep and added three steals and three rebounds.
