MAC Women's Swimmer of the Week
Jillian Lawton, Buffalo
Senior, Lakewood, N.Y. / Southwestern
Jillian Lawton helped the Bulls to a dominant 175-68 win over Duquesne this past weekend. Lawton won the 50-yard freestyle setting a new Duquesne pool record of 23.53 seconds. She also took home first place in the 50-yard butterfly in 25.25 seconds. To close out the day, she helped the Bulls to a first place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:36.26.
MAC Women's Diver of the Week
Bethany Berger, Eastern Michigan
Senior, Batavia, Ohio-Glen Este
Bethany Berger swept the diving events in Eastern Michigan’s win over Bowling Green, Jan. 29. The senior won the 1-meter event with a score of 273.90, and the 3-meter event with a 295.50. Both marks are NCAA Zone C qualifying marks, and Berger’s score in 3-meter marked her first Zone C 3-meter qualifying mark of the 2020-21 campaign (she previously recorded 292.21 in 1-meter against Toledo, Nov. 6, and 276.83 against Akron, Nov. 20). She has now won 1-meter diving in all three of EMU’s meets this season and notched her first 3-meter victory this past weekend.

Sophomore, Fishers, Ind. (Hamilton Southeastern)
Sophomore Halli Siwik (Fishers, Ind.) helped the Ohio swimming & diving team (4-1) record a decisive 217-82 victory over Toledo last Saturday (January 30) at the Ohio University Aquatic Center. Siwik won the three-meter dive with a score of 258.30 and took second on one-meter with a score of 248.78.
McKenzie Grau, Ohio
Sophomore, Mason, Ohio/Mason
Sophomore McKenzie Grau (Mason, Ohio) helped the Ohio swimming & diving team (4-1) record a decisive 217-82 victory over Toledo last Saturday (January 30) at the Ohio University Aquatic Center, earning a pair of individual wins and helping the Bobcats pick up a pair of relay victories. Individually, Grau won both the 50-yard freestyle (23.93) and 100-yard freestyle (51.91). She was also a part of Ohio's 400-yard medley relay 'A' team that won in 3:52.07 and its 200-yard freestyle relay 'A' team that claimed first with a time of 1:37.38.
Riley Hofmann, Eastern Michigan
Senior, Ada, Mich.-Forest Hills Central
Riley Hofmann helped lead the Eagles to its first conference meet win in 2021, registering two wins in Eastern Michigan’s victory over Bowling Green. Hofmann recorded career-best performances in both her events, winning the 200 freestyle in 1:54.68 and the 500 freestyle in 5:06.72. The wins also marked Hofmann’s first event wins of the 2020-21 season.
Joelle Gallais, Toledo
Junior, Lumsden, Sask. (Regina Diving Club)
Joelle Gallais finished in the top-two of both diving events on Saturday at Ohio. She won the one-meter competition with a score of 271.05 and placed second on three meter with a mark of 235.04).
