Edinboro, Bloomsburg Set To Return To Competition

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Mid-American Conference announced today that the Edinboro University and Bloomsburg University wrestling programs will return to competition this spring. The three MAC affiliate programs had previously opted out of competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Edinboro will hold the annual Black and Red Intersquad scrimmage Jan. 23 in McComb Fieldhouse. Fans will not be permitted to attend due to ongoing COVID-19 protocol concerns. Head Coach Matt Hill and the Fighting Scots will begin the season visiting Gannon and Mercyhurst in a round-robin event Jan. 27.

Bloomsburg will get underway on Wednesday, February 3, when the program will conduct its wrestle-offs at 6:00 p.m. inside the Nelson Field House. Due to COVID-19 protocols, fans will not be permitted for the event. On the Huskies’ docket, currently, are trips to Hofstra University on Saturday, February 6, and to Rider University on Thursday, February 11. The Huskies will also compete against Drexel University during each of those tri-meets.
