WMU's Moore, CMU's Pimpleton Named To Biletnikoff Award Watch List

Tallahassee, FL - The Tallahassee Quarterback Club (TQC) Foundation, Inc., the Florida-based creator and sponsor of the Biletnikoff Award, has released the 2020 Biletnikoff Award Preseason Watch List. The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the outstanding FBS receiver in college football. Any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, slot back, and running back) who catches a pass is eligible for the award. As such, the Biletnikoff Award recognizes college football's outstanding receiver, not merely college football's outstanding wide receiver.

Representing the MAC are Skyy Moore (Western Michigan) and Kalil Pimpleton (Central Michigan).

Moore was a first team All-MAC pick last season, becoming the first Bronco wide receiver to be first team All-MAC since Corey Davis in 2016. Moore was also the first MAC true freshman wide receiver to be first team all-league since Roger Lewis of Bowling Green in 2014, the first in WMU history and just the third in the MAC since 1982. During 2019 in the MAC, Moore ranked fourth in receiving yards per game (61.69), fourth in total receiving yards, ninth in yards per reception and tied for 10th in receptions per game (3.92). Nationally, he ranked 86th in receiving yards and 87th in receiving yards per game and yards per reception.

Pimpleton led the conference in both receptions (73) and receiving yards (771) last season and also caught six touchdown passes. His 9.0-yard punt return average ranked second in the league. Sullivan had 47 catches for 712 yards and three TDs. Adesanya led the league with 14.5 tackles-for-loss and was second in sacks with seven. Brown was CMU's team leader in tackles (78) and interceptions (3) and ranks second in the MAC with 14.0 TFLs and 68 solo tackles.

The semifinalists, finalists, and award recipient are selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, Biletnikoff Award winners, and other former receivers. Foundation trustees do not vote and have never voted. For a list of voters, please see BiletnikoffAward.com/voters.

Receivers are frequently added to the watch list as their season performances dictate. Actual, not potential, performance is the basis for inclusion on the Biletnikoff Award Watch List.
