Miami's Sloman Picked By LA Rams In The 7th Round of the 2020 NFL Draft

K Sam Sloman selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the seventh round, 248th overall, in the 2020 NFL Draft

Miami kicker Sam Sloman was a seventh-round draft choice, 248th overall, by the Los Angeles Rams in the 2020 NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon. Sloman set Miami single season records with his 26 field goals made and 30 attempts last season and his .867 percentage ranks second in program history. 

Sloman also ranks second in career field goals made (49), third in attempts (62), third in percentage (.790), second in extra points made (112) and fourth all-time in school scoring (259).  In 2019, Sloman was named All-MAC Second Team and was named All-America Second Team by The Athletic. He finished the season 26-30 on field goal attempts and 34-for-34 on extra points and his 112 points rank fourth in school history for scoring in a single-season.  Sloman finished the year 4-of-5 on field goals of over 50 yards and also had 52 touchbacks on 75 attempts.  

Sloman was named the MAC Championship Game Special Teams Player of the Game after going a perfect 4-for-4 on field goals in the 26-21 win over Central Michigan.  Sloman made a 53-yard field goal with under four minutes to play to beat Ohio 24-21 and made three field goals in a 23-16 win at Kent State.
