Fair and Woods Named Final WBB Players of the Week

WBB EAST DIVISION PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Dyaisha Fair, Buffalo  
Guard, Freshman, Rochester, NY (Edison Tech)       
 
Freshman Dyaisha Fair turned in a pair of 20+ point performances to help lead the Bulls to two victories, averaging 25.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.0 steals on the week. On Wednesday, Fair scored a game-high 26 points to go along with eight rebounds, four assists and two steals in a win at Akron. On Saturday, the freshman led UB with 25 points, while adding nine rebounds and four steals to secure a victory over Kent State on Senior Day. The Rochester, NY native is currently sixth in the country in scoring (21.3) and also ranks in the top 15 in final points. She has scored in double figures 26 times, surpassing the 20-point mark 19 times, while recording two double-doubles. She has also led the Bulls in scoring in 21 of their 28 games. "
 
WBB WEST DIVISION PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Courtney Woods, NIU

Courtney Woods became NIU's all-time leader in games played this week, leading the Huskies to wins over Ball State and Toledo to close the regular season. On Wednesday night, Woods had her fourth double-double of the season and 20th of her career with 20 points and 11 rebounds in a 70-62 win over Ball State. She also tied a career-high with four steals. Woods played her 129th game as an NIU Huskie on Saturday at Toledo, breaking the previous record of 128. She led NIU with 36 points, going 11-for-12 at the foul line, with six rebounds and four assists. Woods scored 23 points in the second half alone to lead NIU to its third win in the last four games. For the week, Woods averaged 28 points, 8.5 rebounds and three assists per game while shooting over 60 percent from the field.

Oshlynn Brown, Ball State

Brown continues to dominate averaging a double-double in Mid-American Conference action this week. The junior forward opened the week scoring 20 points while pulling down 13 rebounds on the road at Northern Illinois. On Saturday, Brown collected her fifth straight double-double and 15th of the season when she chipped in 17 points and added 15 rebounds, helping the Cardinals pull off the 64-63 overtime victory at Western Michigan. Brown shot 90 percent (9-of-10) from the charity stripe and had 12 defensive rebounds in the victory. For the week, Brown averaged 18.5 points per game and 14.0 rebounds.
 
Micaela Kelly, Central Michigan

Central Michigan junior guard Micaela Kelly put the finishing touches on a remarkable regular season this past week as the Chippewas split with a road loss at Toledo before defeating Eastern Michigan at home in their regular-season finale. The Detroit native averaged a double-double over the two-game stretch scoring 20.0 points per game to go along with 10 rebounds. In Wednesday's 76-67 loss to the Rockets, Kelly finished with a team-best 19 points on 8-of-18 shooting to go along with eight boards. In Saturday's 76-69 comeback win over the Eagles, she notched her second triple-double of the season with a team-high 21 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists making her just the third player in the NCAA with multiple triple-doubles this season. On the year, Kelly paces the MAC and ranks No.4 in the nation in scoring averaging 21.5 points per game. 

Lindsey Thall, Kent State       
Forward, Sophomore, Strongsville, Ohio (Strongsville)       
 
Lindsey Thall posted averages of 17.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game to help Kent State capture a share of the Mid-American Conference East Division title and the No. 3 seed in the upcoming MAC Tournament. Thall drained six three-pointers and scored a game-high 28 points Saturday at Buffalo. She blocked five shots in the second half against Ohio on Wednesday to help hold the Bobcats to 30-percent shooting over the final 20 minutes.
 
Lauren Dickerson, Miami

Lauren Dickerson became Miami's all-time leading scorer with a game-leading 25 points at Ohio on Saturday as she now has 2,186 points in a RedHawk uniform. This is the sixth career record she's broken this season as she already tops the record books in field goals made, three-pointers made, 20-point games, field goals attempted and three-pointers attempted. After averaging eight assists a game last week, including 10 assists against Bowling Green, Dickerson is just three assists shy of tying the program record (596). Her 25-point performance at Ohio was the 50th of her career (record) and the 11th of the season, which is tied for the eighth-most in program history. Dickerson also appears in five other single-season categories this season, getting into the top 10 in scoring for the fourth time in her career.
 
Erica Johnson, Ohio    
Guard, Redshirt Sophomore, Mansfield, Ohio (Mansfield Senior)  
 
Erica Johnson averaged 26 points per game in a week where she set a career high. Johnson had a career-best 36 points against Kent State on 15-of-30 shooting. Johnson has now had 30+ in three games this season. Johnson hit seven threes over the past week, including four in Ohio's win over Miami. Johnson had a double-double in the win after posting 16 points and 13 boards.
 
Mariella Santucci, University of Toledo        
Guard, Senior, Bologna, Italy
 
Senior Mariella Santucci averaged a team-high 19.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and a squad-best 7.5 assists in two games this past week. Santucci shot an efficient 54.2 percent (13-of-24) from the field, including 3-of-8 from beyond the arc, and 75.0 percent (9-of-12) from the free throw line in a team-high 38.0 minutes per contest. The 2019-20 team captain began the week with a squad-tying best 18 points, seven boards, a game-high six assists and one theft in contest-high 39 minutes vs. MAC regular-season champion Central Michigan on Wednesday. Three days later against Northern Illinois in Saturday's regular-season finale, the two-time Academic All-MAC honoree tallied a team-high 20 points, four caroms and a season-tying best nine helpers in 37 minutes. With Saturday's effort, Santucci reached the 20-point mark for the seventh time as a Rocket.
