Lemke & Lawson Named Scholar-Athletes of the Week
Female Scholar Athlete of the Week: February 24th – 27th, 2020
Bowling Green's Talisa Lemk, Swimming & Diving - Diver (Senior, 4.0, Theater)
For the second consecutive season, Talisa Lemke was named MAC Diver of the Year. She won the 1 meter dive with a pool-record score of 327.42 and the 3 meter dive with a score of 351.36. This is her third straight 1 meter title and second straight 3 meter title. She was also recognized as the MAC's Most Outstanding Senior, the first BGSU swimmer or diver to earn this honor. Lemke now has 17 victories on the season and will compete at the NCAA Diving Zones next weekend.
Male Scholar Athlete of the Week: February 24th – 27th, 2020
Kent State's TJ Lawson, Track and Field - Multis (Redshirt Senior, 3.79, Sport Administration / Business Management *double major)
TJ Lawson scored a MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships record 5723 points to repeat as heptathlon champion this past weekend. Lawson placed first in all four events during Friday’s opening day of competition and added a first-place finish in pole vault on Saturday.
