Freshman - Buffalo, New York/Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart
Victoria Franz won both the 1 and 3-meter dives as the University at Buffalo swimming and diving team hosted the Akron Zips and Duquesne Dukes on Saturday afternoon. Her score of 308.65 in the 3-meter dive marked the freshman’s fourth score over 300 points on the season in the event. To top her day off, she scored a 302.65 in the 1-meter dive. Her wins in the diving well were crucial in UB’s 146.5-133 win over the preseason MAC favorite Akron Zips. The Bulls also captured a 223-57 win over Duquesne.

Senior Emilia Lahtinen (Emilia Lahtinen) helped lead the Ohio swimming & diving team (2-5, 1-3 MAC) to a 177-120 Senior Night victory over regional rival Marshall last Friday (Jan. 31) at the Ohio University Aquatic Center. In her final home meet as a Bobcat, Lahtinen won both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.68) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:20.94) to account for two of Ohio’s 11 individual victories.
