Akron Leads Field After Two Event Finals

Day 1 Results
BUFFALO, New York – After the first day of the 2020 MAC Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships, the Akron Zips lead the field after a strong performance in the two relay events.
The evening started with the 200 medley relay. The Akron team of Lauren Cooper, Andrea Fischer, Sarah Watson and Morgan Waggoner claimed the title with a time of 1:37.291.
In the 800-Freestyle Relay, the team of Sofia Henell, Paulina Nogaj, Sarah Watson, and Jackie Pash posted a 7:06.81 for the Zips to three-peat in the event.
At the end of Day One of the MAC Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship, here’s where each team stands:

There are four individual titles on the line tomorrow (500 free, 200 IM, 50 free, one-meter dive). The evening will close with the 200 freestyle relay.
