TEAM-BY-TEAM NOTES
AKRON
The Zips secured their 20th and 21st wins of the season, marking the 17th time in Division I history to win 20 or more games. Akron is riding a five game winning streak and  improved to 6-1 on the road and currently leads the MAC in both categories.

BALL STATE
Ball State rallied from an 11-point deficit with 10 minutes left Saturday against Eastern Michigan, outscoring the Eagles 26-6 the rest of the way for a 64-55 victory. The Cardinals handed the Eagles just their second loss in the past seven games and kept themselves in contention in the MAC West Division standings, one game behind Northern Illinois. The freshman backcourt of Jarron Coleman (19 points) and Luke Bumbalough (17) combined for 36 points to lead the way for BSU against Eastern Michigan. It was the highest scoring MAC game for both players. Coleman went 8-of-12 from the floor, while Bumbalough connected on 5-of-8 from 3-point range, leading the Cardinals to a MAC season-high 13 treys as a team.

BOWLING GREEN
Bowling Green is now 20-7 overall on the season. BGSU has won 20-plus games in back-to-back seasons for the first time since the 1947-48 and 1948-49 seasons. The Falcons have won 20-plus games 15 times in school history.   Since 2018, Bowling Green has racked up a record of 26-3 at the Stroh Center. That record is good enough for a conference-leading .897 winning percentage. The Falcons are 12-1 at home in 2019-20. BGSU is 52-24 at home in the Michael Huger Era.

BUFFALO
Buffalo has now won four games in a row following Friday's double overtime win at Kent State. Friday night marked Buffalo’s first overtime win since the second game of the 2018-19 season when the Bulls defeated then 13th ranked West Virginia.  The Bulls had not played a double overtime game since Jan. 8, 2011 against Bowling Green and it was UB’s first double OT victory since Dec. 11, 2004 against Niagara. It was also the first time Buffalo has won a 2OT game on the road since Dec. 1, 1998 at Manhattan. Senior Davonta Jordan is coming off a 20-point, 9-rebound, 7-assist, 2-steal game at Kent State. He is only the second player in the nation this year with a stat line like that joining Phandrous Fleminig Jr. of Charleston Southern.

CENTRAL MICHIGAN
The Chippewas are averaging a conference best 80.3 points per game. They are the only team in the MAC averaging 80 or more points per game. Defensively, the Chippewas are giving up 76.2 points per game, which is 12th in the MAC. They are forcing 16.4 turnovers per game on defense, which is second in the conference and No. 23 in the country. Of those 16.4 turnovers, 9.1 of them are coming off steals, second in the MAC and No. 12 in the country. CMU's turnover margin of plus 3.62 is the best in the MAC and No. 17 in the nation.

EASTERN MICHIGAN
Eastern Michigan has won five of its last seven games and is set to host Northern Illinois Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. The Eagles rank second in the NCAA with 10.3 steals per game and 14th in turnovers forced at 17.3. Individually, redshirt Boubacar Toure lead the MAC with a 67.2 field goal percentage, while redshirt junior Ty Groce is tied for second with 1.9 steals per game.

The Flashes look to bounce back after back-to-back losses. Kent State stays at home as the Flashes host Miami on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. before traveling to Athens to close out the series with Ohio on Friday night on CBS Sports Network.

MIAMI
After missing the first game of his career due to illness, junior guard Nike Sibande made his return against Akron on Saturday. Junior forward Dalonte Brown missed the game against the Zips and remains day-to-day with an injury.

Toledo will be trying to gain a split of its season series vs. the Chippewas after dropping a 74-67 home decision to CMU on Jan. 14. Junior Marreon Jackson is leading Toledo in scoring and ranks second in the MAC with 19.1 ppg and 5.7 apg. Also appearing in the MAC's Top 10 in scoring for the Rockets is senior Luke Knapke at 15.7 ppg (9th in MAC).

WESTERN MICHIGAN
Against Toledo last Saturday WMU went a perfect 14-of-14 from the free-throw line, marking the fourth time in school history the Broncos recorded a perfect free-throw percentage (min. 10 att.) … redshirt junior Brandon Johnson needs just 70 points during the final four games of the regular season to eclipse 1,000 for his career … Western Michigan is 8-1 when leading at halftime this season and is 38-11 over the past three seasons when doing so.
