Liz Kim finished runner-up at the Battle at Boulder Creek in Ball State's first action of the spring season. The junior finished just one shot behind Drake's Haeri Lee. Kim was consistent throughout the tournament. She led after round one and was second after both the second and third rounds. Her opening-round 74 matched the lowest score of any player in the field for the week. Kim led Ball State to a second-place team finish in windy conditions at Boulder Creek Golf Club.

Junior Kory Nielsen led the Flashes over the weekend as the No. 3 Kent State women’s golf competed in the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge. Her 70 (-1) led the Flashes in the first round with the help from a trio of birdies on the front nine and finishing the day with four total. Nielsen continued to shine in the second round after she went 16 holes for par or better and carded three birdies in the second round, while completing her final nine holes bogey free. Nielsen shot a 78 in her final round and finished tied for 23rd with a 218 (+5). Her -1 score on par-3 holes was the fifth-lowest in the tournament. Nielsen finished ahead of 23 golfers all from top-10 nationally ranked teams.
