DEKALB, Ill. (AP) Sophomore quarterback Carter Bradley threw for 432 yards and three touchdowns and Toledo beat Northern Illinois 41-24 on Saturday.

Toledo (3-2, 3-2 Mid-American Conference) broke the game in open in the fourth quarter after the two played to a 17-all tie in the first half and a scoreless third quarter.

Thomas Cluckey's 22-yard field goal with 11:31 left to play ended an 11-play, 51-yard drive. Northern Illinois, now winless in five games, punted on its following drive.

That set up the Rockets for a seven-play, 80-yard drive that ended with Bradley throwing a 15-yard touchdown pass to Ronnie Blackmon with 4:48 left. After the Huskies turned it over on downs, Micah Kelly ran for a 25-yard touchdown run to put it out of reach.

In what was Bradley's third-career start, he completed 29 of 44 passes with a pair of interceptions, one of which was tipped near the line of scrimmage.

Danzel McKinley-Lewis caught six passes for 110 yards and a touchdown and Isaiah Winstead hauled in eight catches for 106 yards for the Rockets.

For the Huskies, Ross Bowers threw for 273 yards and two touchdowns, Harrison Waylee ran for 114 yards and a score and Tyrice Richie had seven catches for 111 yards and a TD.

AKRON, Ohio (AP) Teon Dollard ran for 185 yards and two touchdowns, and Akron rolled to 31-3 victory over Bowling Green on Saturday in a battle of winless Mid-American Conference teams.

It was also the first win for Akron's second-year coach Tom Arth, whose team finished 0-12 last season.

Dollard carried the ball 26 times including a 9-yard touchdown run to open the third quarter. He brook loose on a 50-yard score to cap the scoring early in the fourth. It was his second 50-plus yard rushing touchdown this season.

Michiah Burton deflected Mason Lawler's punt from deep inside the end zone. Gavin Blunt then scooped up the ball around the 3 and scored, stretching the Zips' lead to 17-3 at halftime.

Matt McDonald completed 14 of 26 passes for Bowling Green (0-5, 0-5), six to Quintin Morris for 81 yards. Terion Stewart added 91 yards rushing. Nate Needham kicked a 23-yard field goal.

Both teams are scheduled to conclude their six-game seasons next Saturday. The Zips (1-4, 1-4) travel to Buffalo while Bowling Green hosts Miami (Ohio).

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- "Detroit or Bust" has been the rallying cry for the Ball State football team since all the way back in winter workouts. Now the Cardinals are one win away.

Ball State maintained control of its own destiny Saturday with a 45-20 victory at Central Michigan. The Cardinals will host Western Michigan next week with the MAC West Division title and a spot in the league championship game on the line.

Drew Plitt accounted for five touchdowns on the day. The redshirt senior found Jalen McGaughy twice for scores and Yo'Heinz Tyler and Dylan Koch one each. He also ran for a touchdown for the second week in a row.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) Preston Hutchinson was 19 of 30 for 315 yards and three touchdowns and Eastern Michigan earned its first victory of the season with a 53-42 win over Western Michigan on Saturday.

Darius Boone Jr. ran 25 times for 148 yards and a touchdown and Samson Evans added 61 yards rushing and a TD run for the Eagles (1-4, 1-4 Mid-American Conference). The 53 points were the most Eastern Michigan has scored in the 56-game history of the all-time series with the Broncos (4-1, 4-1).
The Eagles pulled away in the third quarter after each of the back-to-back fumbles by Western Michigan deep in its own territory led to field goals by Chad Ryland to make it 43-28. The Broncos, whose only defensive stop came on the first drive of the game, scored two more touchdowns but remained unable to keep the Eagles from scoring.

Despite the loss, Western Michigan's game next week against Ball State will be for the MAC West title.
