Sarah Watson, Akron
Junior, Winnipeg, Manitoba (St. Mary's Academy)
Watson led the Zips to a 204-96 dual meet win over Eastern Michigan with four first place touches as Akron won 13-of-16 events. Watson posted individual wins in the 200 freestyle (1:46.71) and 100 butterfly (53.06) and was member of two relay team wins, the 400 medley relay (3:38.50) and the 200 freestyle relay (1:33.25). In addition, Watson’s 200 Free and 100 Fly from EMU currently ranks 20th and 24th in the country. Both are the fastest times in the conference to date. The relays rank 11th (400 Medley Relay) and 18th (200 Free Relay).

Freshman, Granville, Ohio (Watkins Memorial)
Freshman Gabrielle Brust (Granville, Ohio) put together a strong collegiate debut last Saturday (Nov. 21) to help the Ohio swimming & diving team earn a 225-65 victory over host Youngstown State. Brust posted first-place finishes in the 100-yard backstroke (58.09), 100-yard butterfly (56.56) and 200-yard individual medley (2:08.08). She was also a part of Ohio's 200-yard medley relay 'A' team that posted a winning time of 1:47.02.
Bethany Berger, Eastern Michigan
Senior, Batavia, Ohio-Glen Este
Eastern Michigan senior Bethany Berger recorded her second NCAA Zone C qualifying standard in 1-meter diving against Akron, Nov. 20. After securing a bid to the postseason in the first meet of the season against Toledo, Nov. 6, Berger posted a winning score (and additional Zone C cut) of 276.83 against the Zips. In addition, Berger placed second in 3-meter diving with a 243.31 mark, just .89 points behind the winner.
