Ohio's Dylan Conner, Football - Linebacker (Redshirt Junior, 3.968, Biological Sciences Pre-Professional)
Redshirt junior linebacker Dylan Conner (Fort Wayne, Ind.) helped the Ohio football team (7-6, 5-3 MAC) earn its third-straight bowl victory and fifth overall in program history with 30-21 triumph over Nevada last Friday (Jan. 3) in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl at Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho. Conner finished the contest with four total tackles, including two solo stops and a half a tackle for loss, in addition to blocking an extra point attempt by the Wolf Pack in the fourth quarter.
Female Scholar Athlete of the Week
Miami University's Lauren Dickerson, Basketball - Guard (Senior, 3.24, Integrated Media Studies)
Senior guard Lauren Dickerson made her presence felt as Mid-American Conference play started and non-conference play wrapped up, averaging 24 points per game last week and breaking the program record for career field goals made as she now has 689 as a RedHawk. Dickerson recorded her second 30-point game of the season on Saturday against Buffalo, putting up a game-leading 32 points. She scored 18 of her points in the fourth quarter, including five of her six three-pointers, as she led Miami in field goals (12), three-pointers (6) and assists (7). Dickerson also scored 16 against Tiffin in the non-conference finale.
