Female Scholar Athlete of the Week: January 20th – 24th, 2020
Toledo's Yana Khabina, Track & Field - Distance (Senior, 3.835, Finance)
Senior Yana Khabina broke the Toledo all-time best record in the 600 meters, placing first in the event with a time of 1:35.14 at the SPIRE Midwest Open in Geneva, Ohio on Saturday. The Kiev, Ukraine native’s time is two seconds faster than the previous record of 1:37.21, previously set by Rayna Horner at the GVSU Open.

Kent State's TJ Lawson, Track & Field - Long Jump (Redshirt Senior, 3.792, Sports Administration)
TJ Lawson won the long jump at the Kent State-Akron Dual with a personal-best leap of 24'-11" on his final attempt of the competition. Lawson’s mark, which is 5.5” further than any other MAC athlete this year, ranks 19th nationally and seventh in Golden Flashes history.
